Hawzah News Agency- Speaking during Friday prayers in the central Iranian city, Ayatollah Ghorbanali Dorri Najafabadi said the Iranian people displayed extraordinary scenes of faith, loyalty, and resilience throughout the mourning months of Muharram and Safar.
"The widespread presence of the people in various ceremonies was a manifestation of cohesion and commitment to Islamic and revolutionary ideals," he stated.
Arbaeen: A Message of Unity and Might
The senior cleric praised the selfless service of Iraqi hosts and mourning procession organizers who welcomed millions of Arbaeen pilgrims, describing their sincerity and hospitality as a shining example of Ashura culture and Islamic solidarity.
"The million-strong presence of pilgrims in the Arbaeen pilgrimage turned this gathering into one of the greatest displays of Islamic unity," Ayatollah Dorri Najafabadi said. "It transmitted a message of authority, unity, and unwavering commitment to the culture of Ashura to the entire world."
Justice and Fairness: The Prophet's Universal Charter
Marking the upcoming martyrdom anniversaries of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), Imam Hassan (AS), and Imam Reza (AS), the Friday Imam described these occasions as an opportunity to deepen religious understanding and renew allegiance to the path of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT).
He identified the Prophet's Farewell Sermon as a universal charter for human dignity, justice, and rights, noting that the Prophet addressed all of humanity—not just Muslims—when he declared principles that transcend religious, ethnic, and geographical boundaries.
"The Prophet declared that the blood, property, and honor of all people are inviolable, and this sanctity remains until the Day of Judgment," he said, stressing that justice and fairness must guide the conduct of all officials, managers, tradespeople, academics, and families.
Hypocrisy of Human Rights Claimants Condemned
Ayatollah Dorri Najafabadi sharply criticized the double standards of self-proclaimed human rights defenders, pointing to ongoing massacres of innocent people across the globe.
"These behaviors stand in glaring contradiction to the standards of justice and humanity," he said. "The philosophy behind the mission of all divine prophets was to establish justice among people. A religious government only achieves its goals when justice, fairness, service to the people, and the observance of everyone's rights lie at the heart of its decisions and actions."
He concluded that had the international community acted upon the Prophet's teachings on justice and respect for human rights, the world would not be witnessing the current scale of wars, crimes, aggressions, and human rights violations.
"The world today, more than ever, needs to revisit and implement the teachings of the Holy Prophet regarding peaceful coexistence and the observance of the rights of all human beings," he added.
